Hi! I’m Rock Betty. In this video I cut 5 rocks from my recent trip to Issaquah. On my way back home I rock hounded a little on the middle fork of the Snoqualmie river. Banded chert, petrified wood, and other rocks that haven’t been positively identified yet. I cut a rock for my friend Nils, and I also cut a rock for you. Thank you so much for watching!!!

hi I’m Betty I took a trip to Issaquah Washington recently and before I came home I stopped at the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River and did some rock hounding let’s cut five rocks from my trip this first rock is just crazy layers I can’t wait to see what’s inside this
one I had a hard time deciding which way to cut this rock it was super teeter tottery so you can tell it takes me a minute to decide I definitely thought about Fred and Rick’s advice while I cut this one I could cut the Rocks all day I have to force myself not to
though what I do right now is after I cut a batch of rocks I have to edit the video and post it before I allow myself to cut any more rocks whatever keeps me on track right this rock is amazing it’s beautiful I hope I cut it the right
way I might try to cut a slab off of it to see if it has any translucency but wow that’s really beautiful the second rock is pretty ugly on the outside let’s see if it’s pretty on the
inside when I can’t decide which rock to cut I sometimes ask my friends my friend Nils picked this rock out so hopefully it’s a good one I’m going to send it to him when I’m done well this rock fits in perfectly
I chose this Third Rock because it looked a little bit translucent and I was hoping that it was going to be a giant agate it’s not an agate but it’s still really beautiful I think it looks prettier cut open than it did whole so no regrets I always think they’re beautiful
rocks number four and five are both petrified wood I was hoping that I might find a garnet but no luck there I do seem to find a lot of petrified wood but I love petrified wood this piece of petrified wood has a lot of color in it so pretty
okay let’s cut the last Rock I’m cutting this one for you thank you for watching my video also um since dog hair showed up on the Rock I wanted to introduce my German Shepherd Lola I think the angle is a little bit off on this piece of petrified wood it might improve when I do some sanding and polishing on it if it does I’ll show it to you in another
video a lot of the Petrified Wood I find is pretty dark it was nice to find some that is so colorful here are a few glamour shots of the Rocks we cut today I can’t wait to cut the next Rock see you soon
