This video is a long version of the collection of video clips of the scenery along the way from Oregon to Arizona and back. This is a roadtrip we went on in late February - early March 2025. I stopped to rockhound a little and I show some of that footage too. I can’t wait to go back out on the road again!

Hi nice to meet you I’m Betty I’m sharing the scenery that we captured on our way to Arizona and back I did a little bit of rockhounding and a lot of driving I thought these clouds were a good omen The forecast calls for strumatolites I love being on the road and I really love traveling with my husband
I think it’s a pretty good testament to the how well we get along usually I’m not insinuating anything We had a really great time but it it should be considered you know who you decide to go on a trip this long with because woo you know it could get difficult
There are quite a few variations that I could have made as far as the route that I took but I tried to avoid some of the dangerous passes The snow was really piling up at this time So um but if weather weren’t an issue I would have gone through Idaho and Utah
I like the idea of doing it as a loop style trip rather than an out and back I’m definitely a loop person I mean I definitely see the value in an out and back You know you see it completely differently It’s just that if I can blaze a new trail or see something I haven’t seen before that’s what I want What about
you If time and money weren’t an issue I’d still be out there I’ve done a lot of driving across the country Um but for whatever reason on this trip I happened to notice just how many different animal crossing signs there were I mean it’s it’s alarming Big horn sheep deer elk wild donkeys wild horses and
cows None of which I want to hit with my car for many different reasons We were lucky We didn’t have any really close calls on this trip but but yeah I mean there are a lot of animals out there and I I still see this one frog that leapt in front of my headlights in like Oklahoma or Texas once I have such a big heart for animals and yeah it’s a real concern for me
You know uh I think you should consider what snacks you decide to eat in the car on a long trip like this too Like don’t eat a bunch of pepperoni and drink a pop Everyone is going to suffer if you do that
For some reason on this trip we listened to true crime podcasts almost the whole way And I love true crime podcasts but um you know snacks were did become an issue Okay Um my husband brought an absurd amount of sunflower seeds with him on this trip and I I think he ate them non-stop for approximately 20 hours before I lost it And I just said Are you about done with
those Now I know it sounds like like that might have been a fight but it wasn’t He was super sweet about it and we were close to home by the time that happened But 20 hours of spitting sunflower seeds was just it just that was the one moment where he almost became a
statistic This is the Truckee River in Reno This is where my dad’s ashes are So I stopped to say hi I’m gonna add music so that you can enjoy the rest of the scenery Thank you for watching my video I can’t wait to go on another road trip See you soon
