After spending a few weeks at home with my sweet dog Lola confined and recovering from TPLO surgery, I was finally able to go outside and rockhound a bit. I went to the Clackamas river, near Oregon City, Oregon. The river was just receding after some recent flooding. I found some petrified wood and some oddball random river rocks that I wanted to cut open with you. Thank you for watching!

Hey everybody it’s me Betty I was down at the Clackamas River this last weekend You can tell that it flooded real good a couple of weeks ago Some of the debris piles are taller than me I’m about 5’6 It’s hard to show the scale of it but
it’s a little intimidating My dream house is near the river but it’s not on the river
Lola has recovered really well from the TPLO surgery It’s been 6 weeks since I really got outside to go rockhounding She was confined so I pretty much just stayed with her Now that she’s free to roam around the house I thought I’m gonna get out of here and go rockhound for a couple of hours
It felt so good to be outside I brought home a few rocks that I’m not sure about I mean I they’re weird I really want to cut them open and see what’s going on So I thought I’d cut them open with you
I chose these seven oddballs Some of them are potatoes but some of them are going to be interesting inside right I hope so I’m going to speed this up After the cuts we’ll take a closer look
I took four of my favorites and polished one half of each of them so that we could get a little bit of a better look as to what’s going on in them because it I mean if you look at the unpolished half it’s just it’s so hard to show or see much less take a photograph half of what we’ve got going on So just a quick admittedly half polished job on on these halves
They’re all really pretty cool This one for instance has a little bit of glitter in it Sort of like there in the face I don’t know what’s what that’s about Um but it also just has a really neat pattern
really cool I like this one And this one this one just has a lot going on I think they’re beautiful What do you think
