In this week’s video I cut what I believe is a stromatoporoid, a fossil I found at the Oregon coast. I also talk about writing a message in binary in my dating profile years ago. It was a simple message, “I like turtles.” Only one person ever responded and translated it, and he’s my husband!

hi nice to meet you you can call me Betty let’s talk about stromatoporoids shall we I wish I didn’t have to try to pronounce that word and I’m going to try not to for the rest of the video I found this rock at the Oregon coast I definitely had no idea what it was and I’m still not

sure what it is but you know what I think it is and you can correct me please do I’ve been wanting to cut this one for a really long time so let’s see what’s inside we’re going on a road trip it’s not like a super planned out road trip it’s an impromptu road trip to go visit a

friend my husband and I started our relationship on the road so we love going on road trips together he’s really patient about me wanting to stop and look at plants rocks animals everything funny story I wrote some binary as part of my dating profile it just said I like turtles I did like turtles I do like turtles

I had a tortoise but my husband was the only man that ever bothered to decode that message I read that sometimes there can be other fossils inside of the sponge and I think in the center here you can see I think I see something I don’t know what that is though sometimes I take microscope photos of my

rocks and I took some microscope photos of this rock but it was not attractive this rock looks really cool under 365 UV and I do show that at the end of the video my friend Em Loves Agates just put out a video on a similar Rock and it inspired me to get this one cut Patricia you really
